In keeping with the spirit of the Low Bun with Volume tutorial, this look is fast and cute! It's hardly even a 'do, really. Remember the teeny tiny half pony, like this? This little pony is like that but has a wee twist on the sides to make it a little cuter. Maybe something to do real quick when you have to be at your kids' school and not look like Lorelei on Rory's first day at Chilton. Whoops, did I just admit to watching Gilmore Girls?! Anyhoo, just like the last tute, this will take all of 10 minutes tops, after the curling iron is hot!
My hair is wet in these pictures and I think that makes it a little easier to see the details.
Pin up the top section of your hair, like so.
Comb out a small section just above your ear, at the front of your hairline.
Twist the still-warm section you just curled and pin it to the middle back (under the section you've pinned on top).
Curl the same section on the opposite side.
Twist and pin that side back the same way you did the first.
These two bobby pins are obvy not pretty at all, but you can see how they're pinned while you're pulling it together.
See how there is a gentle little 'I didn't work too hard at this but gosh I'm cute' twist to it?
Gently pull out the bobby pins and replace with a small clip.
