While I do my best to be pulled together with three little ones underfoot, some days it's a challenge to get my makeup and lashes on in the morning - not that I ever let that stop me! Once I've got my face on though it's super tempting to just throw my hair in a ponytail and be done with it. But I can't. I'm not about slacking - and I'm not about running late because of my hair either. Enter quick fixes like this one! It's out of the way so I can easily bake and cook without worrying that I'm going to get any hair in my kitchen, it's really cute and takes less than 5 minutes. All you need are 3 hair elastics and a few bobby pins. I used white cloth elastics for the photos so you can see them, use smaller ones that match your hair.
First, divide your hair into three large sections. Two on either side in front and one in the back. Put the back section in a ponytail, but on the last loop don't pull it all the way through.
Then do that again with one of the front sections.
And once more with the other front section. Now you can tighten them enough so they are not loose, but not enough so you pull your hair all the way through the elastic.
Now use the bobby pins to pick up pieces of the loops and randomly poke them into the back of your hair. Poke some into the very back, poke some into the hair elastics of the other ponys and in this photo, I have a loop attached to another loop!
This look is honestly a 5 minute project, maybe twice that long the first time you do it. It's loose and casual so you're not horribly overdone for an afternoon at the park with the kids (or whatever) but you look cute while you're doing it!
