One of our daughters, Wee One #2 has been working hard over the last year to fast track through second and third grade. She has just a couple of months left in 3rd grade and then she'll be able to start on 4th. Thankfully, we have the same teacher until 5th grad to help us get through the process! She's a really sweet person and a great teacher! She drinks coffee and we have a similar sense of humor so I thought she'd both find this gift funny and useful. It a 16oz Starbucks mug filled with Starbucks instant French Roast coffee packets. The little note is a reproduction I've seen all over Pinterest - a little something to get you back to the grind. That's delicious cheese, amirite?! (read). | |
It's been a super busy, super fun Valentine's Day around here today! Here's the parade of the love fest we sent to school! Teachers got pink and purple caramel corn and chocolate dipped pretzels. Wee One #1's class got sticks of dynamite, and Wee One #2's class got friendship bracelets and chocolate covered Oreos. Amazingly fun to pull it all together! (read). |

I had seen these cute end of school year treats all over and they're all cute. Organized Chaos made really cute ones. I adore the packaging and I think I will do some school treats like that next year! These from A Little Crafting have more scholatic looking pencils than plain contruction paper to give them a little more realistic look, and The Blackberry Vine made them as first day of school treats. I am aware that this is one of those teacher gifts that serves no purpose other than being extremely cute but just look at it! Look! I originally found the idea on Tip Junkie, the inspiration post is over here at Keeping Up With the Comptons - it was posted two years ago and I just did it this June. A quick search turns up so many versions of this craft; Two Peans in a Bucket, Well, How Nice, Dollar Store Crafts, Rainy Tuesday Mornings, Creative Mommas and my personal favorite version from Chic & Cheap Nursery. There are so many cute smore-themed ideas for end of school year gifts for teachers. I actually made this one for our principal, because she has really gone out of her way for us more times than I can ever properly thank her for. I first saw this idea over at Back Porch Creations and I loved it, but I needed my packaging to be a little more girlie than that. (read). |

I made these as a little end of school year thank you for the secretary at the kids' school. She, like most elementary school secretaries, has been so helpful and we really owe her this year for all the trouble she's gone to, to help us get settled in the school and help us through living in the country with only one licensed driver!
