They really are so so good. White chocolate and macadamia nuts are a perfect pairing! We included this in last year's cookie tin and everyone loved them.
1 cup shortening
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package white chocolate chips
1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
Cream the shortening with both sugars.
Then add the eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda and slowly add that to the sugar/butter mixture.
Now fold in the chocolate chips and chopped macadamia nuts. Bake for about 10 minutes at 375F. !
