I had seen these cute end of school year treats all over and they're all cute. Organized Chaos made really cute ones. I adore the packaging and I think I will do some school treats like that next year! These from A Little Crafting have more scholatic looking pencils than plain contruction paper to give them a little more realistic look, and The Blackberry Vine made them as first day of school treats. Wee One #1 just finished grade 5, so it's not like I could do up some cute Hungry Caterpillar-style treats for his class anymore. Thankfully, I can still do stuff like that for Wee One #2 (she just finished SK) and of course our littlest one isn't even in school yet so there is heaps of potential there! These little treats were simple, sweet and a little silly. Just right for a group of 10 and 11 year olds.
All you really need is one Rolo sleeve per kid, enough yellow pieces of construction paper to cover those Rolo sleeves, enough smaller pink pieces to cover each sleeve tip, like an eraser, and one Hershey kiss per kid.
I used a Sharpie to write my little note to the kids on each one.
Write the note on the front of the yellow construction paper, then wrap it around the Rolo sleeve and secure it with tape. Wrap the pink construction paper around the tip of the yellow paper and poke the Hershey kiss in the end.
