{"id":5660,"date":"2012-08-06T08:08:11","date_gmt":"2012-08-06T13:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.soverydomestic.com\/blog\/?p=5660"},"modified":"2012-08-06T08:08:11","modified_gmt":"2012-08-06T13:08:11","slug":"menu-monday-with-some-peas-and-thank-you-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.soverydomestic.com\/blog\/2012\/08\/06\/menu-monday-with-some-peas-and-thank-you-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Menu Monday with Some Peas and Thank You Love!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Today, I&#8217;m linking up with <a href=\"http:\/\/orgjunkie.com\/2012\/08\/menu-plan-monday-august-612.html\" target=\"_blank\">Organizing Junkie<\/A><\/i> <\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I fear that if I post any more about my unending love for <a href=\"http:\/\/peasandthankyou.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mama Pea<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0373892403\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=0373892403&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=soverdom-20\">her cookbook<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=soverdom-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0373892403\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>, she will think I am officially insane. Or like, get a restraining order or something. But I&#8217;m not <i>crazy<\/i> obsessed, I&#8217;m just smitten by a book filled with vegan recipes that not only doesn&#8217;t require me to sprout oat groats (wait, what?) but also tastes amazing and rarely takes a whole lot of effort &#8211; though when there is a recipe that does require a lot of effort (hello Crazy Good Hummas) it&#8217;s totally worth it.<\/p>\n<p>This week is a bad week to be cooking a lot because the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soverydomestic.com\/blog\/index.php\/2012\/08\/01\/ravelympics-day-6\/\">Ravellenic Games 2012<\/a> are still kicking and I reeeeeally want to finish the Modular Relay by Wednesday so I can attempt a second event. Incidentally, for those following along, last night I passed out with a puff count of 44\/100. Today will be a serious knitting day. Hopefully. So anyhoo, while this week is a bad week to be playing in the kitchen, I&#8217;m going to anyway because I fell off the clean eating wagon a few weeks ago and have felt really uncomfortable and generally just gross since. I&#8217;m already starting to feel better and it&#8217;s only been a couple of days back on the wagon! Most of that is thanks to Mama Pea&#8217;s book. It really is inspiring. <3\n\n<b>This Week&#8217;s Menu &#8211; August 6-12<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; Organic Beef Burgers for the fam, Pea&#8217;s Better Than Ever Black Bean Burgers for me with Baked Sweet Potato Fries and Pea&#8217;s Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert (I&#8217;m making my own vegan chocolate chips for this)<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday &#8211; Chicken Pot Pie for the fam, Pea&#8217;s Falafels with Tzatziki Sauce for me and Pea&#8217;s Almond Joy Cookie Bars<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday &#8211; Breaded Chicken with rice and corn for the fam,  Pea&#8217;s Chickpea Strawberry Mango Salad for me and Mama Pea&#8217;s Balls for dessert<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; Scratch Chicken Nuggets and Sweet Potato Chips for the fam, Peas&#8217; Un-Toppable Black Bean Soup for me and Pea&#8217;s PB &#038; J Filled Cupcakes for dessert<\/p>\n<p>Friday &#8211; Pea&#8217;s Tired and True Whole Wheat Pizza Crust with spiced up Pea&#8217;s Homestyle Spaghetti Sauce for individual Pizzas or Calzones and Pea&#8217;s Cutout Sugar Cookies for dessert<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211; Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Organic Bacon Mashed Potatoes and Beans for the fam, Pea&#8217;s Mediterranean Lentil Meatballs for me and Pea&#8217;s Banana Chocolate Chip Millet Muffins for dessert<\/p>\n<p>Sunday &#8211; Roasted Chicken with Root Veggies, Stuffing and Gravy for the fam, Vegetarian Pad Thai for me and Pea&#8217;s German Chocolate Cake for dessert<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Here are a few photies of Mama Pea&#8217;s Baked Oatmeal Squares.
