Cinnamon Roll Cake

I made this for Sunday dessert this weekend and it was a hit!

I found this recipe over at Eating on a Dime. I doubled the topping and baked it about 15 minutes longer, but otherwise kept it the same!

You’ll need:

Cake:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup of sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup melted butter
Topping: (I doubled this)
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
 
This recipe is so easy, first I preheated my oven to 350F. Then all I did to make the cake batter is mix all the ingredients for the cake in one bowl, and then I poured it into a greased 9″ x 13″ dish.

 
Now, before I put the cake in the oven, I mixed together all of the topping ingredients.

I doubled these measurements because I read in the comments of the original recipe that more topping would be better.

Just crumbled the topping as equally as I could over the cake batter.

 
I baked it at 350 for 50 minutes, it was still wobbly after 35 minutes, so I gave it 15 more.

 
The glaze is also made by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl. I drizzled it over just half of our cake.


This cake is equal parts cake and cinnamon roll, how can you go wrong?! It was just perfect for Sunday dessert.
