Scottish Shortbread

1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar 1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups butter
We found Valentine's Day Smarties for these babies - perfect timing!
Just red or just pink would have been lovely also.
Just mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl - I left the pecans out of the photo, whoops!
Then add the egg, butter and vanilla. Even with my
Kitchen Aid
, I had to eventually work it all in by hand.
This recipe made about 2 dozen cookies.
